Medical and aesthetic dermatology, explained clearly in English
I am Dr. Orhan Demirer, a specialist dermatologist practising in my private clinic in Alsancak. I assess skin, hair and nail concerns as well as selected injectable, laser and skin-rejuvenation treatments for residents, expatriates and visitors to Izmir.
The process begins with the concern—not with a product, package or device. Diagnosis, anatomy, skin type, recovery time and realistic expectations are considered before any treatment is planned.

A message or photograph may assist appointment planning, but it cannot confirm a diagnosis or personalised treatment plan.

Clinical, aesthetic and procedural dermatology
Skin disease, facial concerns and energy-based treatments are not isolated fields. Medical history, diagnosis, anatomy, skin type and healing capacity affect every decision.

Clinical dermatology
Assessment of acne, eczema, rosacea, psoriasis, infections, urticaria, hair loss, nail problems, moles, warts and other skin concerns.

Aesthetic dermatology
Physician-led planning for Botox, dermal fillers, skin quality, facial balance, acne scars and selected rejuvenation treatments.

Laser and skin rejuvenation
Assessment for scars, pigmentation, redness, visible vessels, texture, laxity and selected lesion treatments using appropriate technology.
Start with the concern—not a pre-selected procedure
These pages explain the purpose, limits, recovery and suitability of commonly researched treatments.
Botox in Izmir
Dynamic lines, facial movement, treatment areas, onset, duration and aftercare.
Dermal fillers
Lips, chin, cheeks, under-eyes and facial balance with anatomy-led planning.
Fractional CO₂ laser
Selected acne scars, texture concerns, resurfacing intensity and recovery planning.
Endolift
Minimally invasive laser assessment for selected lower-face, jawline and submental concerns.
BBL treatment
Selected pigmentation, redness, superficial vessels and uneven skin tone.
RF microneedling
Texture, pores, selected scars and skin-quality goals using radiofrequency microneedling.
Acne scar treatment
Rolling, boxcar and ice-pick scars require different or combined approaches.
Moles and skin lesions
Why suspicious or changing lesions may need dermoscopy, biopsy or pathology.
What does a natural result mean?
A natural result does not mean that no change should be visible. It means addressing the agreed concern without erasing facial character, movement or proportion.
The same Botox dose, filler volume or device setting is not appropriate for every person. Some patients benefit from a focused treatment, some require staged planning, and in certain situations the most appropriate decision is not to perform a procedure.
Similar appearance, different cause
- Dark under-eyes may reflect pigment, vessels, shadow or volume loss.
- Brown facial marks may be sun spots, melasma or another skin lesion.
- Red acne marks are not the same as depressed acne scars.
- Lower-face heaviness may involve fat, laxity, anatomy or volume distribution.
Correctly naming the concern is often more important than choosing a device in advance.
A device name alone does not determine the plan
Diagnosis, target tissue, skin type, treatment parameters, recovery and risk must be considered together.
Finexel CO₂ laser
Fractional resurfacing and scar-focused treatment planning for selected texture and acne-scar concerns.
Xlase BBL
Light-based assessment for selected pigmentation, redness, superficial vessels and uneven skin tone.
Cutera Nd:YAG
1064 nm vascular laser assessment for selected visible-vessel and vascular indications.
Endolift 980/1470 nm
Minimally invasive planning for selected lower-face, jawline and submental concerns.
RF microneedling
Energy-based remodelling for selected texture, pore, acne-scar and skin-quality goals.
HIFU
Focused ultrasound assessment for suitable non-surgical tightening and contouring goals.

Planning a dermatology visit while you are in Izmir
Contact the clinic in English before travelling or while already in Izmir. Share your main concern and available dates. Treatment cannot be promised before examination, and travel timing may affect the safest plan.
From the concern to a clear next step
The exact process depends on the reason for the visit, but a useful dermatology appointment usually follows these stages.

Visiting a dermatologist in Izmir
Are dermatology consultations available in English?
Yes. Medical and aesthetic dermatology consultations can be conducted in English, including discussion of previous treatment, medication, options, recovery and aftercare.
Can I send photographs before visiting?
Photographs may assist broad appointment planning, but they cannot reliably confirm a diagnosis, treatment choice, product, dose, device setting or recovery time.
Can treatment be performed on the same day?
Sometimes, but it cannot be promised in advance. Examination may show that preparation, pathology, another appointment, a sun-safe period or more follow-up time is required.
Can I receive a diagnosis or prescription through WhatsApp?
WhatsApp is mainly for appointment coordination and preliminary information. Diagnosis, prescriptions and personalised treatment planning require appropriate medical assessment.
How should international patients plan recovery?
Recovery varies by treatment. Fractional CO₂ laser, lesion removal and some energy-based procedures may involve visible healing. Flights, swimming, sun exposure and limited follow-up time should be discussed before treatment.
Where is the clinic located?
The private clinic is at Kültür Mahallesi, Şair Eşref Boulevard No:61, Bahar Apartment, Office 3, Floor 1, Alsancak, Konak, Izmir.
